Remote Control for Snow Blowers

At first glance, the solution seems simple, but when you take safety into account, things quickly become complicated. These blowers can be extremely dangerous if they lose control. Here are technologies used to make the system safe and practical:

TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION:
Each communication between the blower and the remote is Acknowledged. Communication is constantly maintained. This way, if the blower stops receiving messages from the remote control, it will remain in a safe position until communication is re-established.

ADDRESSING ON 64-BIT:
To mobilize the blower, the remote must be identified with a UNIQUE 64-bit number. This unique number is assigned to the remote control during manufacturing. We ensure that only a single remote control is provided to direct the blower.

128-BIT ENCRYPTION:
To prevent anybody with bad intentions from listening to the communication and interfering with the operation of the blower, a 128-bit encryption was developed. This encryption is the same as the one used by banks to transfer data over the Internet. Encrypted algorithms require a lot of processing power. The algorithms have been optimized in order to be able to rollup on the communication processors.

ROLLING CODES: :
To prevent a command being recorded and rebroadcast to try to activate functions that are not requested by the remote, codes are exchanged between the blower and the remote control. These codes must match in order for the blower to accept the command received.
