Solutions That Meet Your Expectations

Collision Avoidance System in an Industrial Environment

Onboard Computer Located in the Cab of the Mobile Unit

Product Summary

This system allows mobile units in an outdoor area to locate all the people working in this area and to reduce the risk of collision.

The system consists of two types of components:

Person Locator

The locator is a small box containing a GPS receiver and a 2.4 GHz transmitter that emits its position consistently. This small box is attached to the vest of each person working in the at risk area.

Onboard Computer

An industrial computer is designed to withstand hostile environments (temperature, vibration, humidity, splashes, etc.) and is installed in the cab of the mobile unit. The operator can see a map of the at risk area on a 7-inch screen. The position of the unit is always centered and the top of the screen points towards the front of the unit (the map rotates and follows the movement of the unit).
Everyone with a locator appears on the map in their respective locations. An orange dot represents a person (to the left of the picture you can see two).
When the mobile unit moves towards a person, an audio warning alerts the operator of danger. If the unit continues to approach, an audio alarm sounds. The warning and the alarm take into account the direction and speed of the unit.
